Dean Earns Female Track Athlete of the Week
Apr 1, 2025 | Track & Field
NEW ORLEANS – Janae Dean has been named as the American Athletic Conference's Female Track Athlete of the Week. The honors come following a historic performance at the Raleigh Relays on March 30.
Dean placed first in the 800m, beating 164 competitors with her time of 2:04.30. It is now the fastest time in Tulane history and the second school record Dean has set in her final season. In February, she set the indoor 800m record at Wisconsin's Windy City Invitational with 2:05.78.
Dean is first in the AAC in the 800m and fifth in the NCAA.
Track and Field will head to the Doc Anderson Invitational hosted by Troy University from April 4-5.
