Tulane Finishes Ninth at AAC Golf Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The Tulane golf 2025 season came to a close Wednesday as the Green Wave finished ninth among the 11 teams competing in the 2025 American Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship. The Wave posted its best round of the tournament in the final 18 holes carding a 297 (+9) as a team to end play with a 54-hole score of 901 (+37).

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane won the AAC Championship with a final team score of 852 (-12).

Freshman Francesca Pompa led the way for Tulane during the tournament as she landed tied for 15th overall with a three-round total of 221 (+5 – 75, 72, 74). Pompa finished with seven birdies and a team-best 37 pars in 54 holes of play. Â

Seniors Matilde Innocenti and Ruhee Pandit were next on the final leaderboard for the Green Wave. Innocenti carded a final score of 231 (+10 – 74, 75, 77) to finish tied for 32nd overall. She also recorded eight birdies for the second highest total on the team behind Pandit who tallied 10 which tied for sixth in the tournament. Pandit ultimately landed tied for 36th in the field with a 54-hole total of 232 (+11 – 76, 77, 74).

Up next for the Wave was Gabriella Gilrowski who saved her best round for her last as she shot a 72 (E) on Wednesday to move into a tie for 41st at 234 (+13 – 77, 80, 72). up on the overall leaderboard for Tulane was Ruhee Pandit with a two-day score of 153 (+9 – 76, 77) putting her in a tie for 37th. Pandit also carded three birdies in her second round to match Innocenti with seven for the tournament.

Sophia Yi-Ju Chen stepped in to round out the group in the third round on Wednesday. Chen finished strong to shoot two under in her final nine holes and end the day with a 77 (+5). Freshman Cristina Albertazzi competed for Tulane in the first two rounds shooting an 8- (+8) and a 78 (+6).

As a team, the Green Wave tied for third on the par 3s averaging 3.1 strokes per hole and tied for fifth on the par 5s averaging 4.9 strokes to finish six-under on those holes. Tulane also tied for fourth in the tournament with 36 total birdies led by Pandit's 10.
