
Tulane Closes Out Season at the AAC Tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tulane men's tennis team lost a close battle 4-3 to the UTSA Road Runners Thursday afternoon in the American Athletic Conference Tennis Championships at the Leftwich Tennis Facility in Memphis, Tennessee.
Tulane secured the doubles point with wins on courts #1 and #2. The #1 doubles team of Luka Petrovic and Hady El Kordy won their set 6-4 while the #2 doubles team of AJ Mercer and Asaf Friedler captured their set 6-4. Singles wins came for Tulane on courts 4 and 6 as Alec Gaudin won over Ben Chetewy Ungar 6-3, 6-3 while Steven Rice defeated Santiago Flyckt 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.
The Green Wave drop to 5-17 overall, while UTSA improves to 12-10 and will take on FAU in the next round of the AAC Championships on Friday.
This match wraps up the Green Wave's 2025 season. The Wave will return eight members of this year's roster as they look to contend for another championship in 2026-27.
