
Tulane Has A Pair Honored as American 2024-25 Sport Scholar-Athletes of the Year

DALLAS – Tulane's Athletics Department saw a pair of student-athletes in Ryan Adkins and Andrea Zeebe honored as American 2024-25 Sport Scholar-Athletes of the Year on Tuesday.
Adkins was recognized as the league's Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Zeebe was named the American's Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Adkins was a valuable part of Tulane's 2024 American Conference Cross Country Championship team that also went on to compete at the 2024 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships as well. Zeebe was All-Conference in four events during the league's 2025 championship meet including being part of the top 800 medley relay team in the conference. She also earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors and was a 2025 CSCAA Second Team Scholar All-American.
Adkins and Zeebe will each receive a $2,000 postgraduate scholarship for being named their respective sport's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Selections for the AAC's 2025 Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards are made by the Academic Committee on the basis of academic credentials and athletic performance. Each conference school may nominate one student-athlete per sport who has achieved senior academic standing as determined by the institution. A winner is chosen from each of the conference's 21 sponsored sports in addition to at-large selections from sports not sponsored by the conference.
