
Green Wave Announces New Hires and Promotions

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair David Harris announced the additions of three new hires and five staff promotions on Friday.

Craig Clark has joined the department as its Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine, while Jason Corriher has returned to his position leading the Strategic Communications unit and is now also an Associate Athletics Director. Finally, Nik Shah has been named Tulane's Executive General Manager via Altius Sports Partners.

Erinn Banks is also now the school's Senior Associate Athletics Director for Governance and Regulatory Affairs after serving as Tulane's Associate Athletics Director/Assistant Provost.

Elizabeth Perkerson is now the department's Director of Facilities and Event Management, being promoted from an Associate Director position this summer.

Sarah Tamplin has been promoted to Tulane's Director of Sports Nutrition from the unit's Assistant Director role.

Meagan Martucci had been a Senior Academic Advisor for the Green Wave and now serves as its Assistant Director for Academic Services.
Â
Finally, Dr. Victoria Elia was promoted to Senior Athletic Trainer this summer after four years as Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Craig Clark
Associate Athletics Director, Director of Sports Medicine
Clark comes from Furman University where he spent 16 years. He started his career with the Paladins in 2009 as the Head Athletic Trainer and held that position until 2016 when he was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director/Head Athletic Trainer. He was then elevated to the position of Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance in March of 2022.

Jason Corriher
Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications
Beginning his 28th year as a Division I staffer, Corriher originally came to Uptown in June of 2022 before departing briefly to serve as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications at the University of Arizona earlier this year. While with the Wildcats, he oversaw the baseball program's 19th trip to the College World Series and was a member of Arizona's Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the strategic communications efforts for the school's 22 sports.

Nik Shah
Executive General Manager - Altius
Shah joined Altius Sports Partners after nearly five years at Huron Consulting, where he most recently served as a manager in the firm's college athletics practice. He brings extensive industry experience, having worked with more than a dozen universities, including Texas, UNC, Washington, and UConn, as well as conference offices such as Mountain West. His work has focused on revenue generation, articulating the value of college athletics, competitive positioning, and establishing minimum standards for conference membership. For the Green Wave, he will oversee NIL strategy.

Erinn Banks
Senior Associate Athletic Director of Governance and Regulatory Affairs
Banks joined Tulane University in September of 2015 as Associate Director for NCAA Compliance and was promoted to the department's Associate Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance role in August of 2021. In her new capacity, Banks oversees all matters relating to NCAA compliance, governance, and regulatory affairs. Banks consults on the department's future strategy in response to the continued evolution of collegiate athletics and serves as the direct liaison with the NCAA and the American Conference. She also supervises Tulane's Women's Golf program and Student-Athlete Enhancement.

Elizabeth Perkerson
Director of Facilities and Event Management
Perkerson initially joined the department in March of 2024. In her current role, Perkerson serves as a lead game/event and facility manager for Tulane Football and Yulman Stadium. Additionally, she serves as the game/event manager for Tulane Beach Volleyball and oversees all athletic facility scheduling for the university.

Sarah Tamplin
Director of Sports Nutrition
Tamplin came to Tulane from the University of Virginia where she was a Sport Nutrition Fellow during the 2023-24 school year after nearly two years as a Dietetic Intern at Auburn University. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Arkansas in 2021 and her Master's in Nutrition Sciences from Auburn in 2023.

Meagan Martucci
Assistant Director for Academic Advising
Martucci joined Tulane Athletics as a senior academic advisor and tutor coordinator in May of 2021. She serves as the academic advisor for the volleyball, bowling, men's and women's tennis, and women's swimming & diving teams. She came to Uptown after working two years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an assistant tutor coordinator.

Dr. Victoria Elia
Senior Athletic Trainer
Elia is in her fifth year at Tulane as the primary baseball medical contact. She worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in her first four years after joining the staff in December of 2020. Elia, who has had three research articles published internationally, has served as an adjunct professor in the School of Professional Advancement since Fall 2022, where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses.Â
