HUNTSVILLE, Texasย โย Tulane volleyball is set to begin the 2025 regular season this weekend in the Bearkat Invitational hosted by Sam Houston. The Green Wave will play three matches in the two-day tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The first match of the tournament for the Wave will pit Tulane against a fellow program from the Pelican State. The Green Wave will square off against McNeese State for their first match of the season at 1 p.m. on Friday. Tulane holds a 24-_5advantage all-time over the Cowgirls, but the two programs have not faced off on the court since 2016.

Friday will also feature only the third all-time matchup between Tulane and Southern Illinois at 7 p.m. The Wave dropped the most recent meeting at home in 2011.

On Saturday the Green Wave will face the tournament host Sam Houston in its final match of the weekend. The battle between Tulane and the Bearkats is schedule to begin at 12 p.m. from Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.

Tulane will return to Uptown to host the Green Wave Invitational from September 5-7 inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. The Wave will face Lamar, Louisiana Tech, and Southern in the three-day tournament.
