
Swimming and Diving Earns Two Weekly Conference Awards

IRVING, TX – The Tulane swimming and diving team received recognition this week, earning two weekly awards from the American Athletic Conference, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Andrea Zeebe Named American Swimmer of the Week
Junior Andrea Zeebe was recognized for her outstanding performances since December. Over the past month, she was the team's top point scorer at the UNLV Invitational and at the quad meet against Wisconsin, UC San Diego, and UCLA during the holiday break.
At UNLV, Zeebe secured wins in the 200 backstroke and 400 IM, placed second in the 100 backstroke and the 800 free relay, and finished third in the 200 IM, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay. During the quad meet in California, she competed against some of the best in the nation despite not wearing a tech suit. She placed third in all three duals of the 400 medley relay, finished third against Wisconsin and fourth against UCLA and UC San Diego in the 100 back, took third against Wisconsin and UC San Diego and fourth against UCLA in the 200 back, and placed fourth in the 200 IM across all three opponents.
Eliza Lennox Named American Freshman Swimmer of the Week
Freshman Eliza Lennox was the team's top freshman point contributor at both the UNLV Invitational and the quad meet in California.
At UNLV, Lennox claimed victory in the 50 free and earned third-place finishes in the 100 free, 100 fly, 400 free, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay. At the quad meet, she competed against top-tier competition without a tech suit, finishing first against Wisconsin, second against UC San Diego, and fourth against UCLA in the 50 free. She also finished fourth in the 100 free across all three schools, placed fourth in the 100 fly, and took third in the 200 free relay.
These accolades mark the fourth and fifth time a Tulane swimmer or diver has earned an American Conference Weekly Award this season, and the 15th time over the past two seasons. Lennox previously received the Freshman Swimmer of the Week honor on Nov. 18.
Tulane 2025-26 American Weekly Award Recipients
On Jan. 3, the Tulane swimming team competed against UC San Diego, Wisconsin, and UCLA at the Canyonview Aquatic Center in La Jolla, California, on the final day of training in San Diego. The Green Wave achieved 11 top-10 finishes during the meet.
Upcoming Schedule
Next, Tulane hosts the Mardi Gras Invitational from Jan. 16-17 at the Reily Center Natatorium, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday. The Senior Day festivities for the team's six seniors begins at 2:40 p.m.
