Baseball’s Start Time Against No. 2 / No. 1 UCLA Altered

LOS ANGELES –  Due to the threat of heavy rain in the area, Tulane's baseball team (2-1) has seen its road contest start time against No. 2 (Coaches) / No. 1 (D1 Baseball) UCLA (2-1) altered to 3 p.m. CT.
The game was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. CT but will now be played in the early afternoon in order to avoid the expected rainfall at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
Tulane has won two of the team's first three games to start the season. The program recorded a tied for the third-most strikeouts in school history with 19 against Loyola Marymount. The strikeouts were the most for the program in 54 years when the team set a school record with 21 against Cornell of Iowa. Kaikea Harrison leads the team with his .467 batting average and seven hits. Jason Wachs is the club leader with four RBIs. On the pitching side, J.D. Rodriguez and Beau Sampson lead the team with nine strikeouts each. The team's wins have both been earned by members of the bullpen in Rodriguez and Jack Brafa.
Following the game against UCLA, Tulane returns to New Orleans to begin the first home series of the season against Harvard from Feb. 20-22. The first pitch on Friday is set for 6:30 p.m. on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
