
Wave Closes Second Round in Eighth at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

GREENSBORO, Ga. – Tulane women's golf finished play in the second round of the Reynold Lake Oconee Invitational on Saturday closing the day in eighth place among 15 teams. Through two complete rounds of action in the three-round tournament the Green Wave holds a total score of 599 (+23).

After shooting a 304 (+16) in the first round on Friday, the Wave improved during the second round posting a 295 (+7) as a team.

Gabriella Gilrowski paced Tulane as the team finished its second round on Saturday. She recorded a 71 (-1) in round two after shooting a 75 (+3) in the first round. Gilrowski sits tied for 11th overall in the tournament with a 36-hole score of 146 (+2).

The leader in the standing through two rounds for the Green Wave is Francesca Pompa who is tied for seventh overall with a total score of 144 (E – 71, 73). Pompa followed her 71 (-1) in the first round by posting a 73 (+1) on Saturday.

Sophia Chen climbed nine spots on the leaderboard as she finished her second round moving into a tie for 24th in the field. Chen holds a two-round score of 149 (+5 – 75, 74).

Rounding out the lineup for Tulane is Tonka Zacharovska who moved up in the standings into a tie for 70th overall with a 36-hole score of 160 (+16 – 83, 77).

The Wave will conclude competition at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitation with the third and final round on Sunday. Teams will tee off for the final round with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. CT.
