
Wave Dominates Opening Weekend on the Water

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Tulane University sailing rolled through the Corpus Christi Spring Open Team Race to open its spring season taking first place with a perfect 12-0 record.

The Green Wave dominated the field of three teams in the regatta going 6-0 against both Texas A&M and Rice.

Racing on the water for the Wave were skipper John Wood with crew Charlotte Casey, skipper Alejo Di Blasi with crew Claire Lewis, skipper Matheo Capasso with crew Parker Kumler, and skipper Ryan Ehnot with crew Sophia Adams. The quartet of duos for Tulane rolled through six rounds of racing in the regatta earning wins over Texas A&M and Rice in each round.

Up next, the Green Wave will return home to host its first pair of regattas this spring on Lake Pontchartrain. Tulane will hold both the Green Wave Women's Team Race and the Nelson Roltsch Open Team Race from Saturday to Sunday, February 28-March 1.
