Tulane Finishes Tied for Ninth at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

GREENSBORO, Ga. – Tulane women's golf ended competition at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational tied for ninth among 15 teams in the field on Sunday. The Green Wave finished with a total three-round score of 914 (+50).

In the final round of action, the Wave shot a 315 (+27) as a team after posting a 304 (+16) in the first round and a 295 (+7) in round two.

Gabriella Gilrowski led the way for Tulane in the 54-hole tournament as she tied for 10th overall in a field of 80 players with a total score of 221 (+5 – 75, 71, 75). Gilrowski led the Green Wave and ranked tied for third in the tournament with 39 total pars across three rounds of play. She also finished second on the team with six birdies which ranked tied for 38th overall.

Another top 30 finisher for Tulane was Francesca Pompa who placed tied for 28th overall with a three-round score of 225 (+9 – 71, 73, 81). She paced the team with eight total birdies in the tournament which ranked tied for 15th in the field.

Sophia Chen finished in sole possession of 37th overall after shooting a 54-hole score of 228 (+12 – 75, 74, 79). Following Chen to round out the lineup for the Wave was Tonka Zacharovska who landed tied for 69th overall with a final score of 250 (+24 – 83, 77, 80).

UP NEXT
The Green Wave travel to Humacao, Puerto Rico, for the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational from March 3-5. The three-day tournament will be hosted by Ball State at Palmas Del Mar Country Club.
