Tulane Starts Busy Week with 4-3 Victory

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's tennis team emerged victorious in a 4-3 tussle with visiting New Mexico Wednesday afternoon at Goldring Tennis Center.
The Green Wave improved to 5-7 this season. The Lobos fell to 5-10.
The visitors did pick up the doubles point, but the home team captured four of the six singles matches. Daniel Phillips won at No. 1, as did Alec Gaudin at No. 4, Piotr Andrzejewski at No. 5 and Andres Delgadillo at No. 6.
Gaudin has won each of his last three singles decisions, while Phillips and doubles partner Lance Nisbet also moved to 7-2 on the season.
Tulane is right back at it Friday when Southern pays a visit for another 1 p.m. match. The Green Wave opened the season with a 7-0 win over the Jaguars on January 17 at City Park Tennis Center.
