
Wave Places 13th in the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational

FORT WORTH, Texas – Tulane women's golf finished in 13th place at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational hosted by TCU on Tuesday. The Green Wave posted a total team score of 910 (+70) across the three-round tournament at the par 70 course at Colonial Country Club.
Sophomore Francesca Pompa paced the Wave in the two-day, 54-hole competition landing tied for 46th overall with a final score of 223 (+13 – 77, 73, 73). Across the three rounds of the tournament Pompa led Tulane with 36 pars which tied for 20th in the field and tied for second on the team with four total birdies.
The next player on the leaderboard for the Green Wave was Sophia Chen who finished tied for 62nd overall with a total score of 227 (+17 – 74, 77, 76). Chen also tied for second on the team with four birdies and 32 pars through 54 holes.
Cristina Albertazzi followed in the standings in a tie for 71st overall after shooting a 231 (+21 – 81, 75, 75) in the three-round tournament. She finished the two-day event with 30 total pars and three total birdies.
The duo of Gabriella Gilrowski and Sophia Macias rounded out the group for Tulane both finishing in a tie for 74th overall. Gilrowski tallied 32 pars and three birdies while posting a final score of 234 (+24 – 80, 80, 74). Macia led the Wave with five total birdies to go with 27 total birdies to also finish with a total score of 234 (+24 – 76, 80, 78).
UP NEXT
The Wave will return to the state of Texas for the Huntington Bank Collegiate tournament hosted by SMU. The two-day tournament will be held at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7.
