
Diving’s Libby Brewer To Compete at 2026 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships This Monday

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane freshman diver Libby Brewer qualified and will compete in the 1m at the 2026 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on Monday, March 9, at the Student Recreations Natatorium on the campus of Texas A&M University.
Brewer achieved her qualifying score of 278.70 in a dual meet against Rice in November. She is a five-time winner of the American Conference Freshman Diver of the Week award and was also chosen as the Freshman Diver of the Year by the conference following the championship meet in February. Brewer is one of 59 divers that qualified to compete in Zone D this season including six from the American.
She is vying for one of 11 qualifying spots that can be earned in the 1m in Zone D this season. Across all five Zones (A-E) a total of 41 divers will qualify for the NCAA Championships that will be held March 18-21 in Atlanta, Georgia at the McAuley Aquatics Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.
The 1m preliminaries are scheduled to start at 12 p.m. and go to 3 p.m. on Monday. The 1m finals wrap up the competition from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. that afternoon.
Last Time:
Tulane finished fifth overall at the 2026 American Conference Swimming Championships with 905.50 points. The program totaled an event victory and five medal winners in the competition. Lise Coetzee won the 200 free and placed second in the 500 free. Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou was the runner-up in the 200 butterfly. Eliza Lennox took third in the 100 free. The 800 relay team of Coetzee, Andrea Zeebe, Phoebe Johnson, and Rafaela Sumida placed third. Diver Libby Brewer was named the league's Freshman Diver of the Year.

The Tulane swimmers will next be in action as the team's qualifiers will head to National Invitational Championship from March 12-14 in Ocala, Florida at FAST Facility. Those that qualified for NIC this season from Tulane are Danielle Barberie, Lise Coetzee, Nicole Fant, Paula Gaya Bisquerra, Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou, Ebba Holgersson, Phoebe Johnson, Mary Kate Kupsky, Eliza Lennox, Gwen Shahboz, Marin Shimkus, and Rafaela Sumida.
