
Tulane Places 13th in ICSA Women’s Team Race National Championship

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing finished 13th out of 15 teams competing in the 2026 ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship on Tuesday. The Green Wave finished with a 2-12 record in the two-day championship regatta on Lake Pontchartrain.

The Wave was represented in the regatta by skippers Oakley Cunningham, Lola Kohl, Ava Anderson, and Gabriela Vassel. The Tulane skippers were paired with the following crews across the 14 completed races in the championship for the team:
-Skipper: Cunningham | Crew: Hope Breslin
-Skipper: Kohl | Crew: Skye Terrell
-Skipper: Anderson | Crew: Ella May Corckran
-Skipper: Vassel | Crews: Charlotte Casey, Caitlin Briggs, and Sabrina Anderson

The combination of Cunningham with Breslin, Anderson with Corckran, and Vassel with Briggs earned the two victories of the championship for Tulane. The Green Wave defeated MIT and St. Mary's on Tuesday to close the regatta in 13th place with a 2-12 record.

Up next, Tulane will travel to St. Petersburg, Florida, for the ICSA Fleet Race National Championships from May 15-22.
