
Tulane Advances to Fleet Race National Championship Finals

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Tulane University sailing punched its ticket to the ICSA Women's Fleet Race National Championship finals on Saturday by placing ninth out of 18 teams in the Women's Western National Semifinals. The Green Wave finished with a total score of 183 through 10 total rotations across the two-day semifinal.

The duo of Ava Anderson and Ella May Corckran paced the Wave on the water from the A Division. Anderson and Corckran ended with a total score of 81 in 10 races to place eighth in the division. The pair recorded three finishes inside the top three including one race victory.

Over in the B Division Gabriela Vassel teamed with Charlotte Casey and Caitlin Briggs for Tulane. The Green Wave landed 11th in the division with a total score of 102 through 10 races in the semifinal. Vassel and Casey delivered their best finish placing second in their first race while Vassel and Briggs paired up for two top five finishes together.
