Green Wave Prepares for ICSA Fleet Race Nationals

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing will open competition in the 2026 ICSA Fleet Race National Championships on Friday, May 15, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Green Wave will compete in the women's and open championships hosted by South Florida on the waters of Tampa Bay.

Racing for the women's championship will take place from Friday to Monday, May 15-18, followed by the open championship from Tuesday to Friday, May 19-22. Competition for the Wave will begin in the western semifinals of both championships with the women's semifinals on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16, and the open semifinals on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19-20.

In the western national semifinals 18 teams will be represented racing in two divisions (A & B) across 14 total rotations on the water. The top nine teams in the regatta after two days of competition will advance to the national championship finals.

Tulane enters the women's fleet race championship as one of 12 automatic qualifiers alongside Texas A&M from the SEISA conference. The Green Wave will hit the water as the No. 10 overall seed to compete against 17 other teams in the western semifinals on Friday and Saturday. The full fields for both women's semifinals are listed are below:

The Wave will also enter the open fleet race championships as one of 12 automatic qualifiers as the SEISA Conference champions. Tulane will be the No. 8 overall seed when it hits the water for the semifinals on Tuesday and Wednesday. The full field for the open championship is listed below:
