Wave Places Third in Tulane Women’s Team Race

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing finished in third place among four teams competing in the Tulane Women's Team Race on Lake Pontchartrain over the weekend.

The Green Wave posted a 5-10 record across five round robin rounds of racing in the regatta. Tulane earned four victories over Old Dominion and one win over College of Charleston in the event.

The Wave was represented in the regatta by skippers Oakley Cunningham, Ava Anderson, and Gabriella Vassel with crews Hope Breslin, Cate Anderson, Ella May Corckran, Caitlin Briggs, and Charlotte Casey.

Up next, Tulane will travel to New London, Connecticut, for the Thompson Trophy Open Team Race and Annapolis, Maryland, for the Truxtun Umsted Open Fleet Race on April 11-12.
