
Tulane Athletics Announces New Hire, Seven Promotions

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair David Harris announced the addition of one new staff member and seven promotions within the department on Friday.
Cruise Dunn joins Tulane as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Football Athletic Trainer, bringing six years of experience at Southeastern Louisiana. Prior to Hammond, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Florida State, covering football and baseball. Dunn earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from LSU in 2018 and his master's in sports management from Florida State in May 2020. Dunn is a native of Hammond, Louisiana.
Rachel Bruce has been appointed Director of Creative Services (Graphic Design). She previously served as Assistant Director of Creative Services at Tulane for the past two years and holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from the University of Tennessee, earned in May 2024. Bruce is a New Orleans native and graduated from Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies.
Jonathan Currie has been promoted to Director of Equipment for Olympic Sports. Over his four-plus years at Tulane, he has managed athletic gear for numerous sports and previously served as Associate and Assistant Director of Equipment. He earned his Bachelor's in Theatre (Design & Production) from Tulane in August 2024 and is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Isabel Housman, who started with Tulane Athletics as an undergraduate in the Equipment unit in February 2020, now serves as the Director of Business Operations. She brings extensive experience in athletic management and operations and recently earned her master's degree from Tulane's Freeman School of Business in December 2025, complementing her bachelor's in philosophy earned in May 2022. She is a native of Sebastopol, California.
Kelsey McHugh, a native of Camarillo, California, is now Tulane's Director of Video and Broadcasting. Since her arrival in July 2021, she has significantly enhanced Tulane's digital presence through engaging video content, live streams, and social media campaigns. A Penn State alumna, Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and previously worked as a production assistant for Penn State Athletics, broadcasting all 29 Division I sporting events.
Maddie Wadkins, a New Orleans native and graduate of St. Mary's Dominican High School, has been promoted to Director of Facility and Event Management. She oversees game and facility operations for Tulane Baseball, assists with football game operations, and manages the Wilson Athletics Building, capital projects, and facility enhancements. Wadkins began her tenure at Tulane as a Graduate Assistant and holds a bachelor's degree in sports administration from LSU and a Master's in Science from Tulane.
Josh Fellows, a native of Locust Grove, Georgia, has been named the Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning. He began his first year at Tulane as an assistant coach in fall 2024. Fellows previously served as the Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at Liberty University and spent nearly two years at Georgia, along with a fall semester at Louisville. A former collegiate baseball player, he holds a bachelor's in exercise science, a master's in health and human performance from Georgia College & State University and is a certified strength and conditioning coach through the NSCA.
Ashley Jacobs has been promoted to the role of Associate Director for NCAA Compliance. She has served as the department's Assistant Director since May 2024. Her background includes two years as Compliance Coordinator at Jackson State and nearly two years as a graduate assistant at Mississippi College, where she specialized in athlete health, injury management, and compliance. Jacobs, a Gretna, Louisiana native, earned her bachelor's degree from Louisiana in May 2020 and her master's from Mississippi College in May 2022.
