TULANE: A two-sport athlete for the Green Wave in football and baseball... a returning letterwinner in football and a two-year letterwinner for Tulane in baseball... has pulled double-duty in spring football practice and playing baseball during the past two seasons... one of three players battling for the starting spot at quarterback leading into fall drills.
2006: Saw action in four games and completed 3-of-6 attempts for 31 yards... rushing totals included 11 attempts for 43 yards and one touchdown... longest run from scrimmage came at No. 10 LSU and he scored Tulane[apos]s lone touchdown against the Tigers... came off the bench against LSU, SMU, Army and Tulsa.
2005: Did not play; received a red-shirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: An honorable mention 5A All-State choice after leading Jesuit to an undefeated (9-0) regular season and the 10-5A District title... earned first team all-District 10-5A honors at quarterback and was named MVP of the district by WWL-TV... first team all-Orleans quarterback and Offensive MVP of that squad as well as the Clarion Herald Elite Catholic Schools team... guided Jesuit to a 10-1 record in 2004 as the Blue Jays won the district title and advanced to the second round of the playoffs... in two seasons as the starting quarterback, led Jesuit to a 20-4 record and completed 176-of-314 passes (56 percent) for 2,834 yards with 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions... carried the ball 162 times for 859 yards, a 5.3-yard average, with 11 rushing TDs... team shared the district title and advanced to the state quarterfinals in 2003... an all-state selection in baseball and the first player in 50 years to be named MVP in football and baseball in the New Orleans Catholic League... Jesuit[apos]s Athlete of the Year and The Clarion Herald Male Athlete of the Year.
PERSONAL: Majoring in humanities... born Anthony Jude Scelfo on September 19, 1986, in West Monroe, La.... the son of Frank and Holly Scelfo... his father, Frank, played baseball at then-Northeast Louisiana and is currently the offensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech University... named to Tulane[apos]s 3.0 Club in 2007.
