About Madeline Held
Prep: A nine-time letterwinner in track and field (six in outdoor and three in indoor) as well as a six-time letterwinner in cross country at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama...competed in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs...earned All-State honors during her senior season...owns the Spain Park school records in the 800, 1,600, one mile, 3,200, 2 mile, 5K and 4 x 800 meter relay races...helped the cross country team qualify for their first cross country state championship meet in school history...named the Alabama Wendy's High School Heisman award winner during her senior year...placed third at the ASHAA State Championships in the 3,200 meters...set personal-best times in the 800 meters (2:19.58), the 1,600 meters (5:04.11) and the 3,200 meters (11:18.51) during her senior year...also earned six letters in swimming, where she won the ASHAA State Championship in the 100 yard freestyle during her senior year.
