Chris Wurl joined the Tulane staff in June 2024 and is entering his second season as the Video Graduate Assistant. Prior to Tulane, Wurl served as a student video manager for the Illinois football team from 2022 to 2024.

A native of Champaign, Illinois, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sport & Tourism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2024. A Bronze Tablet Scholar, he graduated in the top 3% of his class and was a member of the Campus Honors Program. During his time as a student, he was also a member of the Marching Illini.
