Agne Eggerth is entering her seventh season as the associate head coach of the Green Wave track and field programs in 2026-27. Eggerth began her stint in Uptown in 2020-21 after spending the 2019-20 season as the head track and field and cross country coach at her alma mater McKendree.

Eggerth led the Bearcats women's team to a fourth-place finish at the 2020 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Indoor Championships. The men's team placed sixth at the same event under Eggerth's tutelage. The Bearcats men's outdoor team placed sixth at the 2021 Outdoor NCAA Division II Championships. During Eggerth's time with the Bearcats the women's cross country team placed third at the GLVC Championship in 2020, while the men placed fifth.

Eggerth joined the Tulane coaching staff with director of cross country/track and field Adrian Myers, aiding in his elevation of the track and field squads. Since arriving in New Orleans, Eggerth has aided in the women's track and field program securing an indoor American Conference championship in 2025, the program's first. Also in 2025, the Tulane men delivered their best outdoor American Conference finish since joining the league by placing seventh.

While at Tulane, Eggerth's athlete has amassed a plethora of individual honors, most notably Kristen O'Handley claiming a pair of All-America honors in 2023 in both the heptathlon (outdoor) and pentathlon (indoor). She has coached a quartet of conference gold medalists with Kara Steele claiming the first in the indoor triple jump in 2023. During the 2023 outdoor campaign, Janae Dean won the 800m. In 2025, Tharushi Karunarathna added an indoor 800m win. On the men's side, Zander Dunbar won the outdoor 800m in 2024. Those four gold medals are part of 23 total conference medals, including nine women's indoor, 12 women's outdoor, and two men's outdoor. In 2023, Kristen O'Handley was named the American Indoor Field Most Outstanding Performer.

Prior to taking over the McKendree programs, she spent nine years in a highly-successful stint as an assistant coach at Kennesaw State University. Eggerth specialized in coaching sprinters, mid-distance runners, jumpers, combined event athletes and relay teams, while she also served as a recruiting coordinator for the Owls.

During her nearly decade-long tenure at Kennesaw State, the men's team captured a combined 14 ASUN championships – seven indoor and seven outdoor – while the women's squad won three league titles. Eggerth coached 77 NCAA qualifiers at Kennesaw State, including 20 All-American performers. Over that span, the Owls registered 146 ASUN champions, while the program established 46 conference records.

In 2017, Eggerth helped guide Kennesaw State to ASUN scoring records for both the men's and women's track championships. In the spring of 2019, she coached senior Jordan Gray, who placed seventh in the heptathlon at the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Prior to arriving at Kennesaw State, Eggerth served on the staff at Kansas State University. From 2004-06, she was the assistant track and field coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There, she coached sprints, hurdles, jumps and combined events for the Blazers.

A five-year member of the McKendree track and field program as an athlete, Eggerth was the centerpiece of a women's team that captured five National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national championships during her career, including four consecutive indoor crowns from 1999-2002. She still ranks second in NAIA history with seven individual indoor national titles, including four in the 200-meter dash and three more in the 55-meter dash. In fact, Eggerth continues to hold the fastest 55-meter dash time in NAIA history at 6.83 seconds. Combining her indoor and outdoor career at McKendree, Eggerth captured 13 national titles

Eggerth is the only track and field student-athlete to be named the NAIA Indoor National Championship Performer of the Meet three times in a career, earning the honor following the 1999, 2000 and 2002 events. In all, Eggerth was a 17-time NAIA All-America honoree, which is tied for second in McKendree program history.

Along with her impressive list of honors at McKendree, Eggerth made a mark on the record books in her home country of Lithuania. She broke national records in the 50-meter dash, the 55-meter dash, the 60-meter dash, the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, and still holds the Lithuania record in the outdoor 200-meter dash. A 27-time national champion in her native land, Eggerth represented Lithuania in the Summer Olympic Games held in Sydney, Australia in 2000 and in Athens, Greece in 2004.

Eggerth earned her bachelor's degree from McKendree in 2002. She is a Level I coach through USA Track and Field (USATF) and has earned numerous coaching certifications through the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
