NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Sterling Davis and Waitari Marsh, each with 13 points, led Tulane scorers Wednesday night and the Green Wave's defense forced 21 turnovers in an 86-61 victory over Nicholls State.
The victory by Tulane (3-1) kept the Green Wave unbeaten in 13 games against the Colonels (1-1).
Tulane scored 23 points off turnovers, cruising to a 40-33 halftime lead and then outscoring Nicholls by 46-28 in the second half to finish with 54.5 percent field goal accuracy for the game.
Wade Mason added 12 points for Tulane and Morris Jordan had 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Marlon Green's 14 points led Nicholls. Chris Worrell and Terence McCutcheon added 11 points and substitute Beau O'Quin added 10 points for the Colonels.
