BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - Waitari Marsh scored 15 points to lead Tulane to a 51-45 road victory Saturday night over Lamar.
The game was tied at 27 at the half and Lamar led 42-34 with 13:23 left in the game.
That was when Tulane (7-1) took control, outscoring Lamar 17-3.
Marsh also made 6-of-10 from the free-throw line for Tulane. Meanwhile, Lamar (2-3) missed its final 11 shots of the game.
Ledaryl Billingsley scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Tulane. Billingsley was 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. Sterling Davis had 11 points for Tulane.
Kenyon Spears led Lamar with 14 points. Spears was 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Landon Rowe had 12 points, 13 rebounds and two three-point shots for Lamar.
Lamar shot under 30 percent from the field for the second straight game. Lamar only made 4-of-21 shots from three-point range.
