Bolstered by Sterling Davis' strong play, the Green Wave jumped out to an early 15-point lead and held on to defeat the California East All-Stars. Davis scored eight of his game-high 15 points in the first half as Tulane jumped out to a 46-36 lead at the break. The Wave outscored the All-Stars 16-7 in the final six minutes for the final margin of victory.

Ledaryl Billingsley's 16 points and 11 rebounds keyed a Tulane effort that saw four players finish in double figures as the Wave won its second exhibition contest over BC Kandit Olimpija. Billingsley scored eight of his 12 of his second-half points in the final 5:26 as the squad broke open a 75-75 tie. Sterling Davis notched his second straight double figure game, as he poured in a team high 22 points. Ten of the 11 players that saw action for the Wave scored at least two points.

The Green Wave used a balanced scoring attack and a stifling defense to defeat Prairie View A&M in the season opener. Four Tulane players finished in double figures, led by Ledaryl Billingsley's career-high 16 points. The Wave jumped out to a 29-2 lead and held the Panthers to just 10 first half points and 28 percent shooting for the game. In the game, Tulane starters accounted for 43 points, while the bench added 42.

Tulane moved to 2-0 on the season for just the second time in the last nine years with a 77-72 win over Nicholls State. The Wave jumped out to an early 16-point lead but had to withstand a strong Nicholls second-half effort to earn the win. Tulane had a 22-11 advantage on the offensive glass and went to the line 42 times in the win. Sterling Davis (21 points, 12 rebounds) recorded his first career double-double in the win.

Bolstered by a school-record-tying 12 three-pointers, the Green Wave moved to 3-0 for the first time since the 1991-92 season with a win over Stetson. Byron Mouton was Tulane's top marksman, hitting 7-of-10 shots from the floor (4-of-6 from behind the arc) and finishing with a game-high 19 points. The Wave used a 15-3 run late in the first half to break open a close game. Waitari Marsh and Dylan Osean combined for 11 assists.

Samford blistered the nets with 73.9 percent shooting in the first half, including 9-of-13 from three point range, and raced to a 46-37 halftime lead. Tulane fought back with solid shooting of its own in the second, outscoring the Bulldogs 21-8 from the line. But it wasn't enough as Samford made two key defensive stops late in the game and sealed the contest with free throws. Bryon Mouton, who was 4-of-6 from three-point range, led Tulane with 14 points.

The Green Wave rallied from a 35-21 halftime deficit to make this a nip-and-tuck battle for the final 10 minutes, but couldn't make the key plays in this one-point loss. Led by Morris Jordan and Marlo Miles, the Wave outscored Alabama, 31-18, in the second half. The duo combined to score 18 points, including two key treys by Miles. Jordan finished with a season-high 21 points.

For the third consecutive game, the Green Wave had to dig itself out of a halftime hole after falling behind Texas A&M, 41-33. Tulane cut the deficit to one point with four minutes to go, but could no closer as the Aggies made ix free throws in the final 30 seconds to seal the six-point win. Morris Jordan tallied a game-high 20 points, his second consecutive 20-point outing, and Wade Mason passed out a career-best six assists.
