BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Sarah Goree scored 19 points and Grace Daley had 17 as No. 20 Tulane beat Alabama-Birmingham 73-69 on Thursday night.

Janell Burse and Britt Themann each added 11 points for Tulane (22-3 11-3 Conference USA), which shot 61 percent to UAB's 39 percent in the first half.

Overall, Tulane shot 54 percent to UAB's 46 percent despite being outscored in the second half, 40-33.

Mia Thrash led UAB with 20 points, and Holly Holland and Brandi Stallings each added 12.
