
Baseball Earns Third Straight NCAA Regional Berth

NEW ORLEANS- The Tulane (37-20-1) baseball team was selected to participate in the 2000 NCAA Regional as the No. 2 seed in Starkville, Miss., the NCAA announced on Monday.
This is the third consecutive NCAA Regional appearance for the Green Wave and the fifth under head coach Rick Jones. Tulane's first ever NCAA Regional appearance was in Starkville, Miss., in 1979 under head coach Joe Brockhoff.
The Green Wave plays the No. 3 seed Notre Dame on Friday at 2:00 p.m., while host school and No. 1 seeded Mississippi State plays No. 4 seed South Alabama at 6:00 p.m.
All games are scheduled to be broadcast locally on 88.3 FM WRBH and nationally via www.broadcast.com. Todd Graffagnini and former Tulane standout Chad Sutter bring listeners all the action.
