Wave Hoops Slated for TV Exposure

NEW ORLEANS - A pair of upcoming Tulane Basketball games will be broadcast in the New Orleans market, officials at the school announced Wednesday.
This Sunday night (Dec. 23), Tulane's men's basketball game at Georgia Tech will be nationally-televised by Fox Sports Net as part of its Sunday night Game of the Week package. The contest tips off at 7 p.m. (CST) and can be seen locally in the New Orleans area on Fox Sports Southwest. Thom Brennaman will handle play-by-play duties for the broadcast while Kenny Smith serves as the color analyst. Check local listings for the Fox Sports Southwest channel.
On Saturday, Jan. 5, Tulane will broadcast the Conference USA game between the nationally-ranked and preseason C-USA favorite Green Wave and cross-state rival Southern Miss in the first league game of the season for Tulane. The game tips off at 2 p.m. in Fogelman Arena and can be seen in New Orleans on Cox Cable Channel 10. Lisa Stockton's Wave team is currently ranked #21 in the nation (AP & USA Today) with a 9-1 overall record.
Tulane's men's and women's teams are next in action this Friday, Dec. 21 with the men playing host to Lipscomb beginning at 7 p.m. in Fogelman Arena while the women travel to Des Moines, Iowa to face Drake. All Tulane men's games can be heard on the radio in New Orleans on WTIX-FM (94.3) while the women's games are broadcast on WRBH-FM (88.3).
