NEW ORLEANS - It was only fitting that Tulane's (42-8, 19-5 C-USA) Barth Melius would have a career day on Senior Day, as he struck out a career high nine batters and led the Green Wave to a 10-2 win over Memphis (28-20, 12-12 C-USA) on Sunday afternoon.
This weekend's sweep is the Wave's fifth Conference USA series sweep of the season and extends the Tulane winning streak to 13 games. The 13 games won ties the longest winning streak under Rick Jones. The last time Tulane won 13 straight was 1998.
