NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Seimone Augustus scored 18 points, and No. 17 LSU defeated Tulane 65-42 Tuesday night for its ninth consecutive victory.
Doneeka Hodges added 16 points and Temeka Johnson 15 for LSU (10-2).
The Lady Tigers took a 33-25 halftime lead over the Green Wave (5-6) on a putback by Wendlyn Jones with 1:48 to go.
Tymeka Moore's short jumper two minutes into the second half pulled the Wave to 34-28, but that would be as close as Tulane would get the rest of the way.
The Tigers pushed the lead back into double figures at 43-32 on Augustus' 8-foot jumper with 13:56 to go, and the lead burgeoned to 55-37 with 9:22 left thanks to a pair of 3-pointers by Scholanda Hoston.
Moore finished with 10 points and was the only Tulane player in double figures.
