NEW ORLEANS - A variety of performances by local youth groups, contests for fans and a visit from the Imagination Movers highlight the game promotions list for women's basketball in 2003-04.
The "Imagination Movers" is a New Orleans-based entertainment group that combines pop, hip-hop, rock and world music with educational themes and messages for kids and grownups. The group will perform at the Tulane vs. LSU women's basketball game to be played at the New Orleans Arena on December 30th at 7 p.m. That game will also serve as the "dress rehearsal" for the 2004 NCAA Women's Final Four which Tulane will host in the Arena in April.
Several school groups will perform at Tulane women's basketball games in 2003-04, including multiple appearances by the Avery Alexander Cheerleaders, along with the Belle Chasse Dribbles and the Woodmere Elementary Dance Team.
During the game, fans will have the opportunity to win $20 worth of food at Fresco Caf? and Pizzeria during the "Pizza Delivery Contest" while Major Video brings back the "Name that Movie Clip" game.
With the Tulane cheerleaders, Soundwave and a full slate of non-conference and Conference USA action ahead, the 2003-04 season promises fun and excitement on and off the court for Green Wave fans.
