One of two seniors on Tulane's nationally-ranked men's tennis team, Victor Romero has been providing steady singles and doubles player all three years he has played for the Green Wave. A two-time All-Louisiana honoree and 2002 first-team Conference USA designee, Romero is 53-31 in singles action during his career. He has ranked as high as No. 33 in the nation - during the fall of his junior campaign - and is currently part of the 11th-ranked doubles team with junior Michael Kogan. As a senior, he is 8-8 in singles play and is 15-1 in doubles action. Born in Mexico City, Romero came to Tulane after ranking as the No. 1 player in his age group from 1989-97, winning over 10 national championships in singles and doubles action. A business major, Romero is schedule to earn his degree from the prestigious A.B. Freeman School of Business in May 2004.
