Men's Tennis Rebounds vs. Wichita State

NEW ORLEANS, La. - After suffering a loss in its season-opener on Saturday, the Tulane men's tennis team rebounded with a convincing 6-1 victory over Wichita State on Sunday evening at the Goldring Tennis Complex.
Tulane (1-1) earned the doubles point to open the match as Dmitriy Koch and Theodoros Angelinos won at No. 2 and Goran Vasiljevic and David Goulet teamed up for a victory at No. 3 for a 1-0 Green Wave lead.
In singles action, the Wave cruised to five straight-set victories. Senior Michael Kogan, the No. 8 ranked player in the nation posted a 6-1, 6-4 win over Goran Vujaklija at No. 1 singles. Freshmen Angelinos and Goulet had wins at No. 2 and 3, respectively. Senior Hannu Piiroinen and Maxime Lacroix closed out the scoring with wins at No. 4 and No. 6 for Tulane.
The Green Wave returns to action next Sunday, playing at No. 48 Tulsa.
