Five Green Wave Singles Players Advance at beau Holton Invitational

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Five Green Wave singles players advanced to the quarterfinals of the Beau Holton Memorial Men's Tennis Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Goldring Tennis Stadium.
The quarterfinal matches will all take place at 9:30 a.m. with Tulane players competing in each match. The highlight will be an all-Tulane battle featuring nationally-ranked senior Dmitriy Koch against freshman teammate Jonah Kane-West. The Wave's other ranked singles player, sophomore Ted Angelinos is in action against Baylor's Mikal Kokta. The other quarterfinal matches are Tulane sophomore David Goulet against UL-Lafayette's Amanjot Singh and Wave junior Jacobo Hernandez against nationally-ranked Evghenii Corduneanu from UL-Lafayette.
In doubles action, the Tulane combo of Goulet and Kane-West will battle Corduneanu and Singh in one semifinal while the other pits Marc Pisoan and Ivan Moferdin from Idaho State against Saif Ali and Julien de la Mettrie from UNO. The doubles semifinal matches will begin at 3 p.m.
The singles semifinals will be played at 1 p.m. while the championship match is scheduled for noon on Sunday.
