NEW ORLEANS, La. - Four games at Zephyr Field and three-game home series vs. defending national champion Cal State Fullerton and 2004 national seed Arizona State highlight the 2005 Tulane University baseball schedule, head coach Rick Jones announced Tuesday.
The Green Wave will play 36 home games with 32 being played at the on-campus Turchin Stadium, including a "Businessman's Special" vs. Northwestern State on March 22 at 1 p.m. Tulane's games at The Shrine on Airline will be Saturday affairs with the Sun Devils and Titans on Feb. 19 and March 12, respectively, as well as showdowns with arch-rival LSU on April 19 and cross-town foe UNO on May 3.
"This is a challenging schedule befitting the type of club we expect to field this year," Jones said. "I would expect Fullerton and Arizona State along with ourselves and LSU to all be ranked in the Top 10 in each preseason poll. This should be a treat for all of our fans."
