NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane baseball team, named the preseason No. 1 team in the nation by Baseball America, will have a pair of radio homes in 2005, Tulane/ISP Sports General Manager Derek Morel announced Thursday.
As in the past, nearly every game on the 2005 schedule will be heard on WRBH 88.3 FM, which is also the home for Tulane women's basketball broadcasts. This year, WTIX-AM 690, Tulane's flagship station for football and men's basketball, has added at least a 13-game schedule that includes not only three February games when WRBH will be airing Green Wave women's basketball, but all 10 of Tulane's Saturday Conference USA games beginning in March to be simulcast on WTIX and WRBH. Additional games may be added to the WTIX schedule depending on the postseason schedule for the women's basketball team. (See the bottom of this page for the complete WTIX-AM baseball schedule.)
WTIX-AM 690 will also air the spring edition of the Tulane Coaches' Call-In Show featuring head coach Rick Jones beginning April 4. That show will air Mondays from Noon-1 p.m. live from Bravo! Italian Kitchen on St. Charles Ave. In addition, Jones will be a featured guest on the Monday night Tulane Coaches' Call-In Show, available on 690 AM and across the state, from 7-8 p.m. at Superior Grill on March 7 and March 14.
With the coverage by both WRBH and WTIX-AM, only two of Tulane's 56 regular season baseball games (Sunday, Feb. 13 vs. Southeast Missouri State and Sunday, Feb. 20 vs. Arizona State) will not be available on the radio airwaves, but both of those contests, along with every other Tulane game, can be heard on the internet with the College Sports Pass. For $6.95 a month, fans can receive not only every Tulane Baseball broadcast on the internet, but also games of every team in the network (over 50 schools) as well as coaches' shows. For more information on the College Sports Pass or to sign-up, go to the Audio/Video Information section of www.TulaneGreenWave.com. A portion of the proceeds from the College Sports Pass benefit Tulane Athletics.
Also on the internet, fans can follow and see the stats for every home Tulane game, and select away contests, via Gametracker, which follows each game pitch-by-pitch. Gametracker is available free of charge and can be found by clicking the link in the "Live Coverage" box on the front page of www.TulaneGreenWave.com.

The 2005 schedule for the Tulane Coaches' Call-In Show is listed in the Audio/Video section of Tulane's official athletics website as well.
