Orlando, FL - The Tulane volleyball team was pushed to its limits by the upstart University of Central Florida Golden Knights before pulling out a 3-2 win (30-23, 30-25, 27-30, 25-30, 15-12) Sunday at UCF Arena. Four members of the Green Wave were in double-figures in kills. Sophomore outside hitter Bridget Wells added a career-best 17 kills, hitting a season-best .438 hitting percentage.
Tulane (13-10, 9-5 Conference USA) started the match with a blistering hitting percentage in games one (.364) and two (.500), but the Knights (5-21, 1-13 C-USA) adjusted with wins in games three and four.

For the season, Linder is now hitting .435 (170 kills, 306 attempts)
"We escaped with a win against a tough team - I don't care what their record us - they were a tough team for us to play on the road," Head coach Liz Kritza said. "Bridget Wells was a bright spot for us. She came ready to play today and because she was focused, she had a career day."
Freshman setter Rachel Lindelow recorded 30 assists and a 10 digs for her fourth career double-double. Sophomore setter Luna Rebrovic chipped in 29 assists. Freshman libero Jenn Miller led Tulane with 21 digs. Freshman outside hitter Ksenija Vlaskovic chipped in 15 kills, including five in game five.
"Our team captains today led the way. Jen Linder was efficient offensively and stepped up when this young team needed her," Kritza added. "And Sara Radosevic capped off a stellar weekend of play with another 30-point performance. She's a special player who has the ability to take over a match, and we looked to her this weekend to do just that."
Tulane used a 5-0 run to take control of game one and polished off the Golden Knights 30-23, hitting .364 in the stanza. Game two featured 19 ties before Tulane scored six of the last seven points for a 30-25 win. UCF stormed back with a game three win, 30-27. In game four, the Knights took a 17-9 lead and cruised to a 30- win to extend the match to five games. Game five was tied 12-12 before back-to-back blasts from Vlaskovic gave Tulane control.
