Tulane Head Coach Lisa Stockton
"We were so far down, and we came back at the end of the first half. And Nikki was just unconscious. She really kept us in the game. Knowing we didn't play very well, we went into the locker room saying `it's only seven. It's just seven points and we can overcome this. The good thing is we jumped on them in the beginning and really evened the score pretty quickly."
"D'Aundra Henry shut [Navonda Moore] down. In the first half, D'Aundra didn't have the same energy she had in the first half. In the second half, she played the whole time and took on that personal challenge. She got a couple steals from her, and not only stopped her from scoring but also took the ball from her."
"It's a good win for us, it wasn't pretty. We finished up with our free throws really strong at the end -- we shot 95 percent in the second half. You're not going to win games like this unless you get some steals and create turnovers and score points off of them.
"We had four guards in there at times. We were able to open it up a little bit and make the big girls Alabama had come out and guard us."
"Going into exams is always tough, now they have two days off. Going into the break with a win like this; we can feel good about it."
Junior guard Nikki Luckhurst
"We came out and we were not as intense as we should have been. It finally kicked in and we got things going. Everyone got into it and we finished off the game strong.
"We came out slow, but we picked it up on defense. Defense is the main thing, I think our defense is what brought out our offense. We came out in the second half intense and ready to go, which is what we should have done in the first half."
"I had been thinking about my shot too much, thinking about where I'm shooting. Rushing it. Today I just came out and was ready to shoot. I wasn't thinking, I was just relaxed."
Sophomore Guard Ashley Langford
On her performance
"It was a good game, my teammates definitely helped me out. They made those shots. You can't get an assist without [the ball] going in. My teammates just made shots."
Senior guard Jami Montagnino
"We started off horribly. Our intensity was terrible from the beginning. We didn't come to play in the first half. Our defense definitely picked up in the second half and that's what turned the game around. We rattled them with our press and that was very important and instrumental to our run. We just played in the second half. In the first half, we just didn't play, flat our didn't play."
