Tulane at Stephen F. Austin: | Game Notes
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Tulane women's basketball team looks to bounce-back Friday at Stephen F. Austin as the Green Wave return to the road for a 7 p.m. tip-off. The Green Wave (1-1) dropped its home opener against Georgia Tech in its home opener. Tulane faces its second-straight post-season opponent from a year ago.
Stephen F. Austin (1-1) made the first round of the WNIT last season, while the Green Wave, the Conference USA regular season champ, advanced to the second round of the WNIT a year ago.
Georgia Tech, an NCAA participant last year, spoiled Tulane's home opener in which the Wave unveiled both its WNIT and C-USA banners, knocking off the Wave 66-61.
Ashley Langford and Nikki Luckhurst each scored 16 points for the Green Wave. Langford also added six assists, while Luckhurst connected on four three-pointers.
Redshirt Freshman Brittany Lindsey posted her first career double-digit scoring game, contributing 12 points and six rebounds.
