Virginia Tech Earns DoubleTree Championship

NEW ORLEANS - Virginia Tech earned the 2007 Tulane DoubleTree Championship with a 76-67 win over Robert Morris Friday night at Fogelman Arena.
Brittany Cook earned MVP honors with 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting to go with 10 rebounds.
The Hokies (10-2) also received a 17-point, eight-rebound effort from Andrea Barbour, who joined Cook on the All-Tournament Team
Robert Morris ended the first half with a 10-0 run to take a 41-30 lead into the half. In the second half, Virginia Tech erased an 11-point deficit, tying the game at 45-45.
Tied at 64, Virginia Tech used a 7-1 run to seize control as Barbour hit a lay-up and Cook converted an 'and-one.' The Hokies held on for the 76-67 win.
RMU (4-7) was led by Sade Logan's 22 points, giving her 49 for the tournament. She was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Chinata Nesbit, who finished with 14 points.
The other members of the All-Tournament Team were Tulane's Ashley Langford and UTSA's Whitney York.
