
Minor Places Fifth at LSU Combined Events

BATON ROUGE, La. - Sophomore multi-event competitor Arielle Minor placed fifth in the indoor pentathlon Thursday, totaling 3108 points for the Tulane University women's track and field team at the LSU Combined Events held at the Carl Maddox Field House on the campus of Louisiana State University.
Minor, who hails from Hammond, La., competed in her first pentathlon of the 2008 season, placing third in one event, fourth in two events and seventh in the final two. In the first event of the day, she finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.72. She took fourth in both the high jump - 1.55m (5-01.00) - and the shot put - 10.83m (35-06.00). She also placed seventh in the long jump - 5.07m (16-07.75) - and the 800m - 2:46.29.
