TULANE NOTES
• Tulane snaps a 10-game losing streak, dating back to a 34-27 win over SMU on Sept 25, 2008.
• Tulane is now 110-31 against teams which do not currently sponsor FBS Football.
• Tulane is now 6-0 vs FCS opponents dating back to a 20-21 loss to Wichita State on Oct 4, 1986
• Tulane and McNeese State met for the first time in their respective histories. McNeese State has had football for 66 seasons, 1940, 1945-present, while Tulane has fielded a football team continuously since 1893.
• Tulane set season highs in points (42), rushing yards (205), passing yards (222), total offense (427) and forced fumbles (4).
• The Green Wave scored their most points in a game since a 45-31 win at Rice on Nov. 17, 2007; and its most at home since a 42-28 win over Army on Oct. 28, 2006.
• Senior WR Jeremy Williams' career-high 222 yards receiving was the third-most in a game in Tulane history, and the seventh 200-yard game by a Tulane player. Jerome McIntosh holds the record with 271 vs Vanderbilt, Nov 18, 1981 (11 catches, 1 TD).
• Williams recorded his seventh 100-yard receiving game of his career, which moves him into sixth place on Tulane's all-time list. Williams reached 100 yards receiving just 7:11 into the second quarter.
• Williams' 10 receptions move him into 12th place on Tulane's career receptions list with 123 in his career.
• Williams now has 2,111 career yards receiving, seventh all time in Tulane history.
• Williams' two touchdown receptions from Joe Kemp were his first this season, and give him 14 for his career, which is tied or 10th at Tulane.
• Williams now has had at least one catch in his last 16 games.
• Senior RB André Anderson's four rushing touchdowns were a career high and Tulane's first rushing touchdowns of the season.He now has 13 rushing touchdowns in his career.
• Anderson's four touchdowns were the most since Matt Forte's five at Rice on Nov. 17, 2007.
• Anderson's 199 yards were the third most of his career and the 14th most in a game by a Tulane rusher. Anderson has two 200-yard games previously (255 vs UTEP, Nov. 11, 2008 and 219 vs SMU on Sept. 25, 2008).
• Anderson now has 1,277 career rushing yards, 31 away from entering Tulane's top 15 career rushing list.
• Anderson's 63-yard touchdown run was his longest of the season, triple his previous longest rush this season.
• Tulane boasted a 100 yard rusher (Anderson, 199 yards) and a 100-yard receiver (Williams, 222 yards) in the same game for the first time since Nov. 10, 2007 against UTEP (Matt Forté, 171 yards rushing; Williams, 133 yards receiving).
• Tulane has never had a 200-yard rusher and 200-yard receiver in the same game as Anderson fell one yard short
• Tulane's touchdown run by André Anderson on its first drive gave the Green Wave its first lead of the season (7-3, at 9:58 of the first quarter).
• Williams and Anderson combined for 431 all-purpose yards.
• Alex Wacha recorded two forced fumbles, the first two of his career.
• Tulane forced four fumbles for the first time since forcing five against Mississippi State on Sept. 13, 2003 in a 31-28 in the Superdome.
• The Tulane defense has allowed a field goal on the first drive of each of its opponents this season.
• Tulane scored on its opening dive for the first time in 11 games (a touchdown against Louisiana-Monroe on Sept 20, 2008).
• Freshman Stephen Barnett posted his career long kick return of 25 yards on Tulane's first drive.
• With a start at center today against McNeese State, junior Andrew Nierman has now started all 27 games so far in his collegiate career. Also extending double-digit start streaks for Tulane were junior OT Pete Hendrickson and senior DE Adam Kwentua with 13 straight each.
• Freshman Austen Jacks made his collegiate debut on the game's opening kickoff coverage and recorded his first career sack in the first quarter, a loss of five yards.
• Senior S Corey Sonnier and senior DE Reggie Scott made their season debuts, off the bench. Both had served two-game suspensions by the team. Junior TE Cody Sparks made his season debut in the second quarter.
• Tulane's captains for the game were: senior RB Andre Anderson, senior LB David Kirksey, senior K/P Ross Thevenot and senior OT Nick Landry.
McNEESE STATE NOTES
• The Cowboy's captains for today's game were senior LB Deron Minor, senior LB Matt Kreamer, senior DT Dustan Beckwith and senior CB Tyson Sibley.
