On Louisiana Tech answering each of Tulane's runs down the stretch
"I give them a lot of credit because the players that beat us tonight aren't the players who are their leading scorers. Johnson ended up with eight and she's averaging 23. It was people coming off the bench, other players were making plays. Every time we made a run, a different player made a play. I think that's the quality of a good team."
On what was the difference in today's game
"It comes down to rebounding. When you lose the rebounding battle by 27 and you give them 19 offensive rebounds, that's the game. Every time we came back, we gave them an extra opportunity. We cut it to three, they got a rebound off a free throw and we gave them another possession. That can't happen if you want to beat a good team."
On the return of senior forward Danielle Nunn
"I thought Danielle did a great job. She drew so many fouls and got a lot of them in foul trouble. I think her finger still bothers her on the free throws. I think she's a very good free throw shooter, but she missed a lot tonight. It was good having her back out there. She gives us some energy. Again, I'm just ready to have the whole team back at one time. We had Benzio out today and we hope to have her back on Monday. We'll just have to regroup."
On Tulane getting out-rebounded, 53-26
"I think some of it is positioning. It's being disciplined, boxing out and getting in good position. I don't think we did a very good job with that. And offensively, we really didn't go as hard on the rebounds. I don't think we got as many second-chance opportunities as we should have."
On what a loss to a team like Louisiana Tech means in the long run
"I think they're a good team. I think they'll win the WAC. We knew that going in. I think you play a good schedule and you never know what's going to happen. We've got a lot to go. If this loss helps us in the conference, I think it's going to be okay. We've got a couple of teams coming up in our DoubleTree Tournament that are really strong teams, and if this makes us better for that, then we'll just get better. We just need our team together. We just need our whole team back. That's what we have to look forward to - to have everyone back and put people in the right spots."
