On what her team has done in preparation for tomorrow's meet with San Diego State
"The team has been training more in the last week than they have all season. Training over the course of the week has included long-course meter practices, stadium runs, weight lifting and dry-land challenge sets. The team is a little tired, but spirits are high and we finished our final team practice this morning with some very fast swimming. Needless to say, we're training through the next two meets and some of the girls will get a chance to swim some `off' events. The highlight for the girls tomorrow will be the 100 IM, an event that is only offered about once a year in college swimming."
On how Tulane matches up with the Aztecs
"San Diego State has a very talented program. They will challenge our team in every event and give us some great competition for our first meet in nearly two months."
On the team's goals for tomorrow's meet
"I want to see our team race. They are tired and a little broken down, but as mentally tough as I've ever seen them. I think we can walk away tomorrow with some very solid performances. It's important to be able to race well in spite of fatigue, and I think the team has prepared themselves well for tomorrow's meet."
On who she thinks may be primed to have a solid meet tomorrow against San Diego State
"As usual, Grace Tarka and Erin Cunningham stick out in my mind. They're very consistent competitors that love to race. On the freestyle side, Allie Evans has had a phenomenal week of training and Hagar Elgendy had a breakthrough practice this morning that I think can carry her throughout the weekend meets."
