Nov 27, 2014 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS - Looking to keep their three-game winning streak going, the Tulane men's basketball team hosts in-state foe Southeastern Louisiana on Friday at 7 p.m. CT as part of the Tulane Tournament at Devlin Fieldhouse.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 by clicking here and can also be heard live on the Tulane IMG Sports Network (106.1 FM locally in the New Orleans area).
The Green Wave (3-1) have claimed three straight wins since falling in the season opener to Wake Forest. Tulane had upended Mississippi Valley State and Southern-New Orleans last week and then got past Southern, 74-59, on Tuesday night. Senior Tre Drye and sophomore Jonathan Stark led the charge in the win over the Jaguars with 14 points each.
Junior Louis Dabney leads Tulane in scoring on the season with a 13.3 points per game average, while senior Jay Hook is right behind at 10.7 ppg. Drye leads the Green Wave with 7.0 rebounds per outing.
"The guys have been working hard during this stretch," Tulane head coach Ed Conroy said. "They have to continue to work hard and keep playing well for us to have success against Southeastern (Louisiana). They (SLU) got a taste of victory on Wednesday so we know they will be ready to compete on Friday."
Southeastern Louisiana (1-4) saw a four-game losing streak snapped on Wednesday night with an, 86-68, win over Tennessee Tech at home as part of the Tulane Tournament.
This is the 10th meeting between the two schools. Tulane owns a 7-2 record against Southeastern Louisiana, including 5-2 in games played at Devlin Fieldhouse. SLU won the last meeting, 66-63, on Dec. 20, 2003 in New Orleans.
Tulane completes the Tulane Tournament on Sunday when they host Tennessee Tech at 1 p.m. CT. That game will also be broadcast live on ESPN3.
Season ticket prices for Tulane's inaugural season in The American are $300 for premium chairback seating, $200 for bleacher seating, and $400 for the family zone (2 adult/2 youth for both men's and women's basketball seasons). In addition, men's basketball season ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase half-priced women's season tickets.
