NEW ORLEANS - Tulane men's basketball sophomore guard Cameron Reynolds will be sidelined a minimum of six weeks after undergoing successful surgery on Friday to repair a broken bone in his left hand, it was announced today by head coach Ed Conroy.
Reynolds suffered the injury in the second half of Tulane's win over Savannah State on Tuesday night at Devlin Fieldhouse. The Pearland, Texas, native was averaging 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13.2 minutes during the Green Wave's first nine games of the season.
"We will certainly miss his play on the court," Conroy said. "But we know Cameron is a tough individual and we expect him to be back at full strength after his recovery and rehab."
Tulane, who defeated Jackson State, 56-49, on Friday afternoon, travels to Seattle to face No. 16 Washington on Monday at 10 p.m. CT.
