Coach Sisk Adds Three Signees for 2014-15 Season

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Last week, Tulane head women's tennis coach Terri Sisk announced the signing of three more student athletes for the upcoming season as she welcomed Kyla Klier (Encino, California), Sade Atkinson (Masterson, New Zealand) and Zoe Gaber (Covington, Louisiana) to the Green Wave family. Along with fellow signees Naz Karagoz and five-star recruit Vanessa Nommensen, the freshmen five-some rank 23rd in the class of 2014, the highest in Sisk's six years at the helm. In addition, the incoming group is the top ranked class in the American Athletic Conference.

Kyla Klier

Ranked 111th nationally by TennisRecruiting.net and 34th in the state of California ... Helped the ASA Avengers win their first ever NJCAA National Championship ... Produced a 13-1 singles record ... Received All-American singles and doubles honors ... Won the No. 4 singles national title in 2014 as well.
Coach Sisk says:
"Adding a player of Kyla's ability immediately gives tremendous depth to our lineup. She is a great young girl who had tremendous success at her former university with being named to the 2014 All-American team. I'm quite confident that she will meet her goals that she has for herself and for her new team this year. Sade Atkinson

Made the New Zealand U-18 team in both 2012 and 2013 ... Won the Grade 4 ITF doubles title ... Won the New Zealand U-16's National title and the U-16's doubles championship ... Won her first WTA doubles point in Egypt ... Beat Emma Hayman who was ranked 686 in the world.

"Sade is the final piece of the puzzle that we were putting together for this fall. She is an incredible competitor that has had an amazing amount of success in New Zealand and is looking to continue to develop here at Tulane. I'm very happy she chose to continue her solid career at Tulane and certain that she will add immediate strength to our lineup in both singles and doubles."

Lettered 2011-12 for the SSA Doves, playing No. 1 singles ... Doves went 8-2 in 2011 and 8-1 in 2012, making state and regional appearances in both years ... Was a D-I state qualifier in both 2011 and 2012 where she produced an overall 17-1 mark for both seasons combined ... Ranked the third best Louisiana high school tennis player in 2012 ...
