NEW ORLEANS – The Green Wave volleyball team (12-6, 4-2) looks to extend its three-game winning streak inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse this weekend, taking on American Athletic Conference foes East Carolina and Cincinnati in a Thursday-Saturday set. Thursday night's match, which begins at 7:00 p.m., will feature the annual Dig Pink for Breast Cancer match, while Saturday's noon contest will welcome families of current Tulane players for Parents Day.
QUOTE
"This is an important home series for us because if we are able to win both matches, it would put us at the top of the conference standings. ECU comes in with a very good record and is very streaky, while Cincinnati is playing very well and is picked to finish first in the league. We have been playing at a very high level lately, even with our roster not at full strength. We are especially looking forward to Thursday night, which is our Dig Pink for Breast Cancer match, and on Saturday we are honoring our parents as well."
--Tulane head coach Jim Barnes

LAST TIME OUT
Tulane is coming off of a 2-0 road trip to Florida, a weekend nearly washed out by Hurricane Matthew. On Friday night, the Green Wave took three of four sets from USF in Tampa, knocking off the Bulls 3-1 in their home arena. Sunday's trip to Orlando would extend the winning streak, as Tulane handed UCF a 3-0 match sweep on their home turf.
The Pirates of ECU split last week's conference series at their home arena in Greenville, dropping three straight to Cincinnati on Wednesday night before turning around to beat Memphis in five Friday evening.
Cincinnati picked up a pair of sweeps in the team's last two outings, first making quick work of ECU on Wednesday night in Greenville before returning home and taking three from Memphis on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats, who are currently third in the league and were picked to finish first prior to the start of the season, carry a four-game winning streak into the weekend.
SERIES HISTORY
Tulane leads the series with East Carolina 16-3, boasting an undefeated 8-0 record at home. Last year, the Green Wave split the series with the Pirates, winning a 3-2 contest in New Orleans but dropping the road match in five sets.
The Green Wave are 2-23 in the all-time series with Cincinnati and 2-7 in New Orleans. In 2015, the Bearcats swept both meetings.
