NEW ORLEANS – Following five-straight games away from its friendly confines, Tulane returns to Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse to begin December when it hosts St. John's on Friday, Dec. 2. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPNews/ESPN3.
Â
Tulane Notes:
• The Green Wave will play five of its next six games at home.
• Sophomore guard Kain Harris has been a spark off the bench for Tulane through its first seven games, scoring in double-figures in three-straight contests and five times overall. He's averaging 12.7 points in just 21.7 minutes per game while shooting better than 50 percent overall from the field (33-65) and from three-point range (16-32).
• Tulane leads the American Athletic Conference in three-pointers made per game (8.6) and is shooting at the fourth-highest clip (.375) in the league. The Green Wave's 60 conversions from beyond the arc is also tops in the American.
• Redshirt junior Cameron Reynolds is tied for first in the conference in threes made (21) and second in threes per game (3.0) with East Carolina's Caleb White.
Â
The Opponent:
• St. John's (2-5) has lost five in a row entering Friday's matchup and will play its fifth game away from home in its last six. Under second-year head coach and alum Chris Mullin, the Red Storm is averaging 74.4 points per game on 40.5 percent shooting, but is allowing opponents to score nearly 71 points per contest while shooting a 40.8 percent clip. St. John's leads the Big East Conference and ranks 10th in the nation with 7.0 blocks per game. As a team, the Red Storm is among the youngest teams in the nation and has only one player with more than two years of Division I experience.
Â
The Series:
• Friday's matchup marks the fourth meeting in history between the programs, but the first at a campus venue as the first three were held at neutral sites. Tulane leads the all-time series, 2-1:
